About the House of Esther Project

The House of Esther is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to empowering marginalized women in Bangui, Central African Republic (CAR). Founded by Pastor Abel N’Gouloumanda and his wife, Esther, our mission is to provide vulnerable women—widows, single mothers, and those in poverty—with the tools they need to achieve self-sufficiency and rebuild their lives. Through vocational training, spiritual guidance, and community support, we aim to foster hope, dignity, and lasting change.

Since 2018, we have impacted over 250 women, equipping them with practical skills such as sewing and cooking, which enable them to generate income and support their families. Our programs also offer emotional and spiritual counseling, creating a nurturing environment where women can heal and grow. In 2022 the House of Esther became legally registered in CAR as a non-profit organization under the name I ‘Association pour le Formation Technique Feminine (AFTF) positioning it for even greater outreach and impact.

Our Goal: Empower More Women Through House of Esther

We’re committed to helping House of Esther expand its vital ministry to meet the growing need among young women seeking sustainable vocational training along with spiritual encouragement.  Here is how you can make a difference:

1.  Sponsor Vocational Training: Your support will help cover three years of tuition for 20 additional young women to join the House of Esther program.  At just $130 per year per student, that’s only $7,800 to open life-changing opportunities for these women.

2. Equip with Tools for Success: We also aim to fund three additional pedal-powered sewing machines and essential sewing materials to train these women as professional seamstresses.  At $450 per machine plus materials, this will cost just $1.350 to expand their hands-on training capacity.

At the House of Esther, we believe in the transformative power of faith, skills, and community. Join us in our mission to empower the women of Bangui, helping them build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
